Bridge to Tybee

When I lived in Savannah, Georgia, during college, I would frequent the beaches of Tybee Island. It was my first time living within 45 minutes of a beach, and I still miss it to this day! I especially loved going there at night during my last summer as the bioluminescence in the water made things absolutely magical. It was like you were swimming in a sea of diamonds. This painting was inspired by a reference photo that I took while riding over the last bridge before you arrive on the Island. The marshes take on a life of their own in the low country.

This is an original 36”x48”x1.5” oil painting on stretched canvas in a raw maple frame. This can be hung on the wall as is or put in a lovely reveal frame. It would be perfect over a sofa or as a centerpiece over a mantel. Please note that the colors in this painting are shown as accurately as possible, but colors vary from screen to screen so small variations in person are to be expected.
